We did photograph the snow we received over the last few days in Utica NY. Also a few photos of Snowfari 2008!

L and I went out to capture some of the beautifully covered trees and power lines last night.

Also last weekend we stopped over at Val Bialas Recreation Center in Utica to create some memories of the very humorous times during the sled race at Snowfari.

Last nights Lunar Eclipse AND Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)

Of course L and I were out for this. We traveled an hour to the East to try to beat the clouds which were going to move into the Utica area anytime. We did out run them, but they caught up a few hours later. Lucky for us we were able to catch some shots in-between the cloud cover.

Here are three images of the moon from this evening, near the bottom is one that L took last night:

The look, once it was completely covered:

At about 6:00PM just after the sun set, the moon came up from the horizon. The moon was very bright orange against the newly darkened sky:

As a major bonus there was a slight aurora borealis (northern lights) tonight about 45° to the north from the position of the moon.

Cheers, from L and I

What a week it has been so far...

D and myself had a very busy past week and between Friday and Sunday the two of us logged 70 hours finishing up a project we had been working on. This tied up most of our free time and pushed us a bit behind.

Many times D and I shoot the same locations/events and often our shots turn out similar, but our individual style does tend to show through. I enjoy seeing our shots together in this manner.

Here are a few of my shots of The Blueprint. These guys have a very unique style of rock music and in my opinion have something to offer all age groups. If you are not familiar with myspace music the link above is an easy site to navigate. Their site offers information about all of the guys and also links to each of the members individual myspace's. In edition to that you can listen to some of their streaming music (does not require any downloading).

As always you can click on any image below to see more photos from our gallery's:

Also a couple shots from the Utica Collage hockey game two Saturdays ago (02/09/2008). They lost to Newmann Collage but it was a good time never-the-less.

The Blueprint, kicking buttocks

These guys are great. All down to earth, original and so very real.

I know L and I had a great time shooting them and as always they were very happy with the results.

Here are a few. Click on an image to see the others.

Utica College Hockey and more

Saturday Night D, A, M, and myself attended the Utica College hockey game, they played Newmann collage. Newmann Ended up winning the close game 1 to 0. This was the first time I attended a UC hockey game, the four of us had a great time. The attendance of spectators that night surprised me, there really were not that many open seats. The games are very affordable, great entertainment and a great way to support our city.

During one of the breaks some fans were doing the Soulja Boy dance

I also uploaded some modeling shots that I did last week in the studio at school. (chick on the image to see more shots from this shoot)

Happy belated year anniversary to us.

A bit over a year ago, on January 22nd the first post was made on TheShadowman.com (click this to view it).

Even though we do not see many comments on the site, we do hear about them around the street, in schools and from friends and family. Thanks for all of the chatter amongst yourself Uticans:)

This is Utica and it is home. No matter how many people complain, it is still where I have lived my whole life. A bit over a year ago, I removed the negative mind-state of Utica and this site is what came of it.

It was cold when these were taken, but I do love this series of photos. Looking over many Dante Tranquille photos, I am sure he shot from this same location on at least one occasion:
