Has the Patriot Act gone too far?

This evening D and I were watching planes doing touch and go routines at the former Griffiss air base, now known as Oneida county airport.

After arriving we joked about how suspicious we probably looked with our bags and tripods and things that "beep" (our cameras). After about an hour a security guard confronted us, asking what we were doing and why. Soon after, two City of Rome police officers showed up to see what we were doing. One could not seem to understand why we thought it was acceptable to take pictures of planes at night on September 11th. The confrontation ended after many silly questions and some better answers but the result is we both have a couple pictures to show you.

Here are mine and D will have his own up very soon.

haha, what a night. I think i had more fun talking to the cops and the lady, than shooting.

Lady:
"Can I have your name?"

Me:
"Yes you can......."

Cop:
"What are you doing after this?"

Me:
"Going to Dunkin Donuts"
"See ya there"

Classic evening.

If the cops REALLY come to www.theshadowman.com like they said they would, please comment:)
