The Holiday weekend has passed
I had big plans to work on a few projects last week and weekend while I had time off, however it did not turn out that way. Much of the time was spent with friends and family, as it should be.
I always remembered going to see the lighting of the Christmas lights at the train station every year with my grandparents and parents, later after my grandparents passed away I would go with my mom and sister. It was always a good time and the fireworks were always great. It was nice to experience it with a different group of people to make new memories and pass that on to everyone who visits the site who did not make it there.
With the semester winding down I have a lot of projects and work going on. I hope to have my shots of the fireworks up along with some other pictures I have been working on by this weekend. As D said last Friday night "well today I took a few hundred more pictures to put in my archives that I have to work on now," it seems we are digging ourselves a never ending hole of pictures to work on. Which is not a bad thing at all.

Quite the week of pictures! I told you so:)
L's memory of this display from the past, combined with my previous hunting for photo locations came together for an end result that will not soon be forgotten.
By the way, any of our images are for sale (still working on ideas for "buy it now" buttons on the blog and gallery). If interested contact the specific Shadowman using their email address listed to the right.

Downtown Utica NY, at night and so beautiful.
Last Friday, I set up a shoot with three Beautiful models(I will post these soon) and I made Hotel Utica the center of attention. While there I made connections that enabled L ( who was helping me with the model shoot) and I to get to the roof..
Pictures are as follows, but look for more very soon. I shot from Hotel Utica through out the day, getting some various angles and coloring of Utica's beautiful downtown area.

Finally its Finished
I have spent far to many hours working on this shot; as a result i have not been working on many other pieces of work recently. However I hope that you agree the time spent has been worth it. I hope you enjoy this shot as much as i do.

There will be more work to follow soon. I am looking forward to the holiday season for sometime off from school and more time to do work for the site and photography in general.

The good, the bad (maybe) and the Art.
The Good.
I am very proud with E and L and their images used in the recent contest. They both really help in showing what our tight photo group is all about. We had a great time shooting for this contest (E, L, T, B and I) and the energy we pass on to one another to help feed our artistic appetite, is quite amazing. We truly are a GROUP and will keep on moving ahead in this vast world of photography..
The Bad.
A new mayor for Utica... hmmm... it could be bad. I feel that Utica was going along a well thought out path and had no need to be side tracked, nor did we need to open a new can of worms. The job I do at work, has NO relation to what happens in my home. If you understand that, good. If not, you are outside the loop.
I am sorry to see Julian go, but with this change I do wish the new Mayor well.
Contest is over.
Election is over.
Art is back.
Oh yes, we have been busy...

Be on the look out. We are WAY behind posting pictures we have taken;)

Have you voted yet?
WHY NOT? The Judge’s selections have been made for the weekend in Mohawk Valley show, but that does not mean that your chance to vote is over. The voting process for the peoples choice award is still going on until at least Monday November 5th. So if you have not voted yet I urge you to do so. (See the post below to see how to vote.) We are also not the only artists who submitted work but we hope that because you are visiting our site you enjoy our work enough to receive your vote.
